Six schools took part : Barnby Road, John Blow Collingham, Chuter Ede, Highfields, Holy Trinity and Sutton on Trent.
Hosted by Barnby Road, the event involved 48 children from twelve teams of four players: Barnby Road 2, Chuter Ede 2, John Blow 2, Highfields 1, Holy Trinity 2 and Sutton on Trent 3.
Each child played three games against different teams in a jamboree format, with each team playing at least one game against each other team. The competition has been running since 2008/09 and has been sponsored by Tallents Solicitors throughout this period.
Six children won all three games – a player each from Barnby Road and Chuter Ede, and two from both Holy Trinity, and Sutton on Trent. These children were presented with medals by Malcolm Ellison from sponsors Tallents Solicitors.
The third round will take place on 19 May 2026 and the points from this final round will be added to the first two rounds’ results to decide the overall winner. With the top three teams so close on points, the event in May could be a very exciting climax to the competition.
